Hi
Have deleted accidentally (slow brain!) a couple of folders with files that were on a USB. Dont shown the laptop 'trash' .Is there anywhere that they may have been held on the laptop? Terminal command to locate ?

2) If it isn't there in Trash, DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THAT USB -- leaving it undisturbed (never writing data into it) increases the chances of data recovery.
3) Unmount all partitions (DONT eject) on that USB, the clone it into a disk image (Create Disk Image using Disks or
sudo dd if=/dev/sdX of=/path/to/img/file bs=4M status=progress && sync
).Use tools like photorec to try to recover the data (use this on a copy of the disk image).
