I'm getting the same error, but "Cinnamon Settings Daemon xandr" isn't in my start up items and I can't find it in the list of applications to add. I did monkey with my display settings when I had trouble with my old tv, but I thought I reversed all that... Please help? Here are my inxi -Gx results:

. This will let us know how Mint sees your hardware and may give us an idea why you can't see that in your Start up items.A woman typing on a laptop with LM20.3 Cinnamon.

Re: Can't make changes to display settings due to strange error message
I found another topic After upgrade to Linux Mint 20.1, switched primary and secondary monitors [SOLVED] with the same error message and the person indicated, "The problem was I had xrandr in my startup." which may relate to the customization you did that you referenced. It appears the start-up command you made was a custom one, so only you would know what it was named.piso mojado wrote: ⤴Sat Jan 15, 2022 12:11 amI'm getting the same error, but "Cinnamon Settings Daemon xandr" isn't in my start up items and I can't find it in the list of applications to add.
If there is no custom command in Start-up Applications, perhaps you added a xrandr command to your .login file?
What is the output of
ls ~/.config/autostart/
?With regards to not having a "Cinnamon Settings Daemon xandr" in startup, did you upgrade in place from LM18 to LM19 or was it a fresh install of LM19?
Your inxi output indicates you are not running the latest 4.15.0-167 kernel. (And, actually, your hardware is new enough you could be running the 5.4 kernel.)
