Please read that part in pink background above that literally says " how to get help" it's a link. At least specifically most when they mention this here..they mean step number 5.

TLDR= you given us no info other than you're using the newest Linux Mint. Desktop? Mate? Cinnamon?. Xfce?? Details matter. No insult meant but we cannot read you mind and otherwise we'll be just guessing and speculating...wasting time.

Please give us information about your install by entering this command in a terminal: inxi -Fxxxrz
Click </> from the mini toolbar above the textbox where you type your reply and then place your cursor between the code markers and paste the results of the command between the code markers
Results
. This will let us know how Mint sees your hardware.

Please upgrade to using a newer kernel. Your Ryzen 5000 series is much newer than the 5.4 kernel and thus it does not have necessary hardware support for your CPU. I"m not sure that kernel has the full necessary support for your GPU either.

Instructions for upgrading to the 5.13 kernel:
 • Open Update Manager.
 • Select View > Linux Kernels and click Continue.
 • Make sure 5.13 is selected on the left panel and then click the top-most option on the right panel. An "Install" button will appear.
 • Install the kernel and then reboot for it to become active.
Let us know if that clears the issue.

When I choose the newest kernel, my second display does not turn on and my main display is recognized as a laptop (30 hz less)

That may be an issue with how the Nvidia driver files rebuilt themselves for the newer kernel. I think your problem is similar to the one in this topic [SOLVED] NVIDIA driver failing sometimes on boot ("no hardware acceleration"). Let us know if the fix roblm recommends in the second post addresses the issue for you.

Making that change will make sure the nouveau driver files do not load before the nvidia driver files which is probably what happened.

There is no graphics driver showing as loaded.

I'm not sure what may have happened. Please provide the output of dpkg -l | grep -i nvidia, mokutil --sb-state, and cat /var/log/gpu-manager.log.

Please describe what windows effects you are wanting to work that do not work. You indicated in your first post that you could choose the effect, but it didn't work. The Windows Effects in Cinnamon are turned on by default, so I am not sure what you are choosing.

When I minimize/maximize/close/... windows, they do that instantly
When I change the fx or turn them to custom nothing changes
Like there are never smooth transitions or animations although I choosed them

I opened the Effects app in LM20.3.

In the Windows Effects options there are None, Traditional, and Fly for Minimize and Closing windows. Where are you setting these to "custom"?

Effects very vastly simplified between Cinnamon 5.0 and 5.2. prior to 5.2 there was a lot more customisation available.
For custom Nemo actions, useful scripts for the Cinnamon desktop, and Cinnamox themes visit my Github pages.

I thought I recalled there being more effects in the past (although I do not recall a "custom" option), but I never used them so I wasn't sure.
