Linux Mint 20.3 UNA ‘Mate’ to ‘Cinnamon’
I have currently Linux Mint 20.3 Una Mate but want to switch to Linux Mint 20.3 Una Cinnamon. Also I erased the FLash Drive with Linux Mint after installation. How to get started

I don't recommend just installing the Cinnamon DE on top of the Mate DE. Download the Cinnamon .iso and install it after backing up your /home folder. Once Cinnamon is installed, restore files in the backup.

I am curious do you have any reason for not recommending installing both alongside?
