Small images hard to see in Caja

Post by frostymusic »

So I put items up for sale. I take photos from phone and drop them into the directory. Then when I create the ad, I go looking in the directory, and they are so small I can't see them clearly to make out what they are. I changed the resolution of my monitor, didn't help.
I am assuming that Caja is acting as the default file manager, perhaps it can't produce larger images in its directory. I do have Nemo and it does increase the size of the images.

So, do I change the app preferences from Caja to Nemo? Or is there another solution?

you mean you're just looking at the icon view?

Maybe try "Large Icons" instead?

Try holding down the ctrl button and press + to expand the view,
- to scale back down. Or hold down ctrl while using the mouse wheel to resize the icons

This seems to problematic when I am in the Upload folder for uploading pictures, the images are real small, and the .jpg won't preview. If I go to Facebook Market Place, place ad, add pictures to ad, Upload Folder shows up. Images are small and don't preview

As I recall, that's an integral part of your web-broswer (firefox / chrome / whatever), and not handled by the filemanager as shipped with your DE.

I think you are correct. I tried using LibreWolf with the same result.
