It may be the EVO but when you downloaded LM, did you run a download check with the software provided?

Installed it. Ever since I installed any linux distro, it keeps crashing for no particular reason.

Firstly, I didn't. Secondly, as I was typing in the reply, Mint crashed once again, and now it doesn't even boot.
I am currently typing from a Slax USB I have for whatever reason.
Thirdly, I don't think the problem is in the image, I had the same problem working in Manjaro.

Edit: I am currently reinstalling Mint

Edit within edit: The image I was using did pass the integrity check. So as you said, the problem could be EVO

Update.

I reinstalled Mint onto another hard disk, an ATA one, and it still keeps crashing while I am on a zoom call with a disgustingly loud sound in my right ear

You might be better sticking with Windows? Not the best news, but sometimes flogging a dead horse is well.....not fun.

One maybe useful option is to not install Linux Mint but run it 'Live' from the DVD instead. This way you can go through a bunch of the different Mint 'flavours', testing which run best on your hardware, then when you have one you feel is stable and works ok, then install it.

Look around for threads on how to run it live etc.
Laptop overheating? Check link here:itsfoss guide . Also a move from Cinnamon to XFCE can give a -5 to -10 degrees C change on overheating hardware.

Solved.

I’ve set all settings in bios to default, and it doesn’t crash any longer.
