Bluetooth icon on system tray does not show up after upgrading to Linux Mint 21 XFCE

Post by Zakster »

Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing fine.

As I said in the title when I upgraded to Linux Mint 21 XFCE just after the first boot the icon for bluetooth disappeared from the system tray. I tried to open the bluetooth manager thinking It would put an icon but It didn't.

Now the bluetooth is turned on and i don't know how to turn It off this new bluetooth program doesn't show a turn on/off button like the old one I tried and search for this problem but I didn't find anything useful.

I had the same problem after upgrading, but I have Cinnamon, so I dont think the desktop has anything to do with it. My Bluetooth was working, I just had no icon. I just uninstalled the Blueman package and reinstalled and my icon came up. All fixed, its been fine ever since.

Hi Ken,
that just made my day, thanks. I am on Cinnamon, too, I didn't have the blueman package installed at all. So I just installed it, and everything works fine. Thanks for the hint!
