Wireless card not detected

Wireless card not detected

Wireless card not recognized by my laptop which is Dell Inspiron 1150
O/S is Linux Mint 8 Helena
card chipset is Broadcom---BCM4306KFB
Any ideas?

If you can get to the internet by other than wireless, check for availablity of the proprietary driver "fwcutter". If it is offered in the "Hardware Drivers" list, try installing it. It often works well with Broadcom wireless cards.

Downloaded "fwcutter" driver....had trouble installing it. How do you install a downloaded driver?
