New to mint

Postby swoll2007 » Thu Aug 02, 2007 5:26 pm

HI everybody. You guys have a great distro here, just 1 adjustment I have to make. I'm a huge kde fan, while mint has the best looking Gnome-Desktop I've ever seen It's still gnome, and I'm not comfortable with it. I tried to "sudo aptitude install kubuntu-desktop", but I still had the gnome environment and apps. It just added kde apps to the gnome desktop. I'm trying to get rid of all the gnome apps and environment, and replace it with kde apps and, environment. Can someone help me with this please? Thanks.

Linux Mint has a KDE version available. Download that and install it. You should be very pleased indeed with it.
