Bug in compiz or just don't know what I'm doing?

Post by outdoorart »

I think this is a bug but I'm new to mint so could be me.

Using gnome with Helena 64 bit.

When I try to set 1 row, 2 columns of workspaces, I get 4 columns. I can't get less than 4 columns.
When I set 2 rows and 1 column (which is how I'd prefer to lay workspaces out), I can't switch workspaces - clicks on the workspace switch are ignored (but the tool tip still pops up :? ).

Is this a known problem? I did search for an answer but couldn't find anything here on the forums. Off to google...

Thanks for any help,
Arthur

I have similar issues. I can set Horizontal for either 1, 3 or 4. If I set it to 2, after a few seconds it changes to 4.

Strangely, I am able to set it to 1 horizontal and 2 vertical unlike yourself!

Let me know if you find a resolution. I am sure that this can be set manually from the terminal to get around it.
