'New' Features

Post by Bruce R » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:08 pm

Sorry to be a newbie wet blanket, but v3.1 Celena is proving more complex and therefore less stable than v3.0 Cassandra on my Northwood Pentium 4
PCs etc. Cassandra is great, but repository downloaded Kaffeine can't lock on to transmissions when scanning. The Texan PCLinuxOS-2007 has a version already installed which works, but doesn't have the other, user-friendly features and applications of Cassandra, whilst 'string attached' Mandriva variants are much worse than PCLinuxOS.

The Beta version of Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon is looking like another lemon at the moment, but fingers crossed for late October.

A subtly re-vamped Cassandra Linux Mint with a pre-installed Kaffeine looks like the best bet for a Linux breakthrough, but perhaps next April Ubuntu Hardy Heron ?
