Hi

On dads laptop he had a config crash that caused his menu button to disappear can someone refresh my memory on how to get it back

Try right-clicking on the panel, select "add to panel" and there should be an option for the menu.

Hi!
Don't knowing if I understand the problem: If you have no panel, you can run

Code: Select all

killall gnome-panel
and it disappears and reappears, maybe you are asked to delete an item.

nope didnt work still no menu button.... got a configuration error some how I was thinking there is a hidden file that I need to delete.

Right click on panel - +Add to panel - Main Menu

The menu button is twords the middle the screen not on the far left like it was....thanks all he will be ok I just thought there was a way to restore it to the bottom left like it was before...for some reason there is a file you can delete and restart and get it back....well its bed time for me worked all night. you all have a great day :D :D

I re added it to the panel thats how I got to a terminal window. sorry I missed your miss understanding.....dad will live :D thanks all for your help :D
