what does this error message mean?

wireless is working but i get the error below each time i update..... do you know a fix? much appreciated.....

I am no expert, but from what I can read in your "error message" this is not an "error" as such. You are simply being told that the firmware upgrade that you want to install is not compatible with your hardware (wifi card). In other words you do not need it or it wont help/improve it in any way. So as your wireless is working no need to worry.

Hi I have exactly the same problem.

And yes this is a major problem as nothing is installing properly because of this error.

I can't install medibuntu packages because of this exact same error.

What to do?
