To loud volume...

Post by Mint-Mike »

Hi,

Got a problem that bugs me and that is that the volume on every applictaion is set to max volume. I dont know how many times i got max vol banging my ears in the headphones. Is there a way to set the volume to say 20% so that every application i start uses that level? Been this way in all my installations of linux, have tried to change this in pulseaudio but with no luck.

Today im running linux mint 10 x64 with a usb soundcard.

Turn the volume down. Goto the volume icon in the panel. Click and move the volume to where you what it. If you don't have the volume icon showing. Then goto the Control Center - Hardware - Sound.
