How to copy something with terminal, as root.

Postby Acid_1 » Thu Nov 29, 2007 11:36 pm

K, i've downloaded Yamipod, a iPod manages, and it needs me to copy the file 'libfmodex.so.4.02.05' to my usr/lib/ directory. So i copied it, and I couldn't paste it, so I guess i need to be root. So i went into a terminal, and I set myself as root, and i don't know how to copy a file from

/home/adam/Desktop/yam-linux/libfmodex.so.4.02.05

to

/usr/lib/

help would certainly be appreciated. Thank you. :D  :D

I think that would be:

Code: Select all

sudo cp /home/adam/Desktop/yam-linux/libfmodex.so.4.02.05 /usr/lib/
