Re: Are there DDR2 and DDR3 SODIMMs?
PC2700 is always DDR. The 2700 refers to the speed of the memory.
DDR2 speeds are listed as PC2-xxxx, i.e. PC2-5300, and DDR3 is listed as PC3-xxxx, i.e. PC3-8500

Re: Are there DDR2 and DDR3 SODIMMs?
But my link says 333MHz is the speed. Are you sure 2700 is memory speed too? So there are two memory speeds?rob2uk wrote:PC2700 is always DDR. The 2700 refers to the speed of the memory.

But those refer to desktop memory. DDR SODIMM is about laptop memory.rob2uk wrote:There are:hamtastesgood wrote:Why aren't there DDR2 and DDR3 SODIMM wikipedia articles?

Re: Are there DDR2 and DDR3 SODIMMs?
The 333 is MT/s, not MHz. PC2700 has a data rate of 333MT/s and a peak transfer rate of 2666⅔MB/s.hamtastesgood wrote:But my link says 333MHz is the speed. Are you sure 2700 is memory speed too? So there are two memory speeds?
