Folding SMP on Linux Mint

Postby gunderwood » Tue Jan 15, 2008 1:47 pm

I am currently running Ubuntu 7.10 64bit and was wondering if anyone has gotten Linux Mint to fold using the Linux version6 beta client and SMP? I ask because I understand that Linux Mint is 32bit and while the client manager for version6 beta is 32bit, the SMP folding cores are 64bit. I also have 4GB (was thinking of going to 8GB) of RAM, but have gotten tired of flash not working right and the lack of codec’s in Ubuntu 64bit. Hence my interest in Linux Mint. I would assume that if I could download the 64bit libraries, it should work, but I want to know before I blow away my current install. Thanks.
