[SOLVED] Seeking a Banner package

I'm looking for a banner package that will produce a horizontal running banner, either as a screen saver or a separate window.
I'm running Linux Mint 11 Gnome.

Is there a list in existance that shows common software names vs Linux package names?

Any suggestions?
