I just reloaded my Windows 7 desktop and had the itch that I forgot to check something.... sound.
That's right, I forgot to test if I had sound when I tried the LiveCD and when I loaded it on another hard drive.
I discovered I have Realtek ALC892 for a sound card (built in on this motherboard).
Can anyone offer up any tips?

Motherboard - MSI 870A-G54
Sound - (onboard) Realtek® ALC892

I might still have a Creative Labs Live! 24 card laying around. When I get home tonight, I will check. I'm leaning towards this being the best option potentially.

Irony
The one sound card I have laying around not being used due to removing it because Windows 7 didn't have drivers is the one sound card that was able to bring sound to my newly switched over Linux Mint 12 box.
