it has taken me a while to come round to the idea of using "linux" mint i have been playing around for a few days now. I would like to change the theme of mint i have been using a guide from here "http://blog.sudobits.com/2011/12/01/how ... x-mint-12/" .
I manged to download the file i follow all the instructions but the problem i am having is the wallpaper does not change to the theme what i have downloaded the applet effects ie the top and bottom bars change thats it i have been trying for days can anybody please help me out with my liccle problem i have

Many, probably nearly all, themes do not include background files, as those are handled differently. To change backgrounds in Mint 12, right-click on the Desktop and select 'Change Desktop Background.'
cheers for the reply conslie just tried 1 of your links u give i went to hit download i then get a screen with txt i have put a scrrenshot belowe is this normal if so what do i do with it
