How To Uninstall Mint?

Postby johnywhy » Tue Feb 05, 2008 9:24 pm

how do i uninstall the whole operating system? it's a dual-boot with windows vista. i installed mint after vista, so grub is the boot loader.

i'm NOT asking how to uninstall packages or software in mint. i mean the entire operating system.

thanks

There are many ways ...

Delete the partitions that you don't need, resize the ntfs partition and restore the MBR.

Restore a an earlier image before you installed Mint.

Fresh reinstall of windows.

Might be a few more ...

i have a vague recollection that mint backed up my mbr someplace, during the mint install. is that correct? where would that be?
