Remote desktop

Postby preatoria » Sat Feb 09, 2008 1:02 pm

Dear users,

Is it possible to remote control a remote desktop from windows in mint?
And how do i do that?

Also,
is it possible to remote acces the mint desktop ? For example from my vista environment on my desktop to my mint on my laptop?
And how do i do that?
I tried to put remote connections on allow etc and set password and tried to use remote desktop function in windows but that gave a no go.
Perhaps i don't have to use that tool but vnc viewer?
I don't know.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I remember there is no default remote desktop in Linux
A bunch of applications to achieve this is mentioned here
http://www.digg.com/linux_unix/Remote_Desktop_for_Linux
and info about VNC here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VNC

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
