[SOLVED] Update from a PPA that holds multiple versions?

Post by Kevin108 »

I'm on Mint 11 and I'm wanting to upgrade to the Transmission 2.5 beta. I've run:

Code: Select all

kevin@Serenity ~ $ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:transmissionbt/beta
kevin@Serenity ~ $ sudo apt-get update
kevin@Serenity ~ $ sudo apt-get install transmission
It only brought everything up to 2.30b4 though.

https://launchpad.net/~transmissionbt/+archive/beta is where I'm getting the PPA info from. Any tips?

as you can see under [series] 2.30b4 is the build for natty (so mint11);
you can try to manually install [not recommended] a higher v. but probably you are going to be faced with unsolved deps (or not :D )
