How to Delete a File

Postby wjwheels » Mon Feb 18, 2008 11:53 am

When entering the terminal command to edit my menu.lst, I mistakenly typed "minu.lst". This created a new file in my Grub folder. How can I get rid of it?

Is there a comprehensive list of linux terminal commands somewhere that I could refer to (and learn from)?

There is a great CL file manager I use, called Midnight Commander;

To use it as root you'd -- #$ sudo mc

That gives you a file manager much like the old dos shell, if you have mouse support in the terminal you just point and click.

Is that like Gnome Commander, which is in the packet files? Thanks for the tip. I may have never known such programs exist.
