Re: All Desktop Screenshots > 1st Half of 2015
gnome 2 was the best, i was stuck on ubuntu 10.10 until i learned about mate, all i thought xfce, gnome, openbox and kde only existed lol. until i learned about linux mint mate/cinnamon and researched some of the other DI/GUI, so i tried it out. i still prefer the gnome 2 menus. im using a old dell inspiron 1545 17.3" from 09/10 had windows 7 and got a virus that i got a blue screen on boot lol so i tried opensuse, pclinuxos, fedora, kubuntu, xubuntu and ubuntu(i sticked with ubuntu since 10.04). never had a problem with linux since 2010. i like z31fanatic system monitor i got to get that!!!! anyways here is my lame desktop config pic...
update: found out about menu bar for a gnome 2 look

@ reddot
You can right click on the panel and add back the classic menus if that is what you like.

Looks nice! The way you set up Conky really compliments the clean look you went for.

Well at least it's my own conky
Glad I'm not the only one with this wallpaper, with or without Tux.
