For Admin a question Real Time Kernel

Post by ElQuia »

Hello guys. Short story: I´m a newbie in Linux, long time win user. Started with this, looked arround, tried distros and decided to focus on Mint (very cool work). One of my activities is audio editing and mastering.
Started to look into the realtime kernel thing. Installed it, got it working on Mint 5.0 Main x32 (I plan to do final migration to x64 when its released).

I´m testing Mint in a Virtual Machine (Sun VBox) on Vista x64 as host, AMD X2 4200 , 3 GB RAM, 2 SATA in RAID 0.

Well today I started testing: Just listening to music, wav and mp3.
When I boot the Real Time Kernel music reproduction stutters horribly
When I boot the standard Kernel it doesnt .....

aaargghhhh - Any Ideas :?: Pleaaseee :?:

You have already posted about real time kernel
It may, or may not work but it is not supported by Mint
