[SOLVED] Installing another desktop manager

I don't know if this question has been asked or not ( I couldn't find it )

I have Mint 17.2 Cinnamon installed and I have installed all software and things that I need and I have customized it to my liking.
But now I prefer to have KDE as my desktop manager than Cinnamon. Cinnamon is awesome and everything is good but I like KDE more.
So is there a way to install KDE without removing Cinnamon? Because I may want to go back to Cinnamon again. I have had more than 4 desktop managers in Kali Linux; can I do the same in mint?
and if I can't have more than 1 desktop managers then is there a way to remove one and install another? I really don't want to install everything again.

Would you help me, please?

a simple web search does that too for you.

It shouldn't be a problem; to get to the new (or different) desktop just logout, select which DE you want, then log back in; you should be given an option to make it the default.

Just be careful unistalling KDE, it can mess your system.

The problem with that, is that it will tend to be more of a ubuntu-flavoured KDE environment.
To get the same one that comes with Mint, run

sudo apt-get install mint-meta-kde

Definitely make a record of all the files that are installed, so if you want to remove KDE it'll be easy.

I thought that it was just the Ubuntu way as them and Mint are debian based.

No worries, mate. Yeah, the mint KDE and the ubuntu KDE packages are different. Actually, there are multiple ways of installing KDE in ubuntu/mint. I just figured that the OP wanted the default Mint configuration.
