Multiboot problem

Post by eddie »

I have read through this and many other forums but still cant get any luck!

I have PCLinuxOS installed on hd0 for KDE. Mint is installed on hd1 and the grub for Mint is installed on hd1's MBR.

Using
"title mint
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1"

gives me error 13 from grub.

For the time being I have pasted Mint's first section on to the tail end of PCLOS's menu1st and I can use that to get into Mint. Problem there is faffing about when the kernel is updated etc. Having to cut/paste all over again.
I could have let mint detect PCLOS and plonk the Mint grub onto hd0--I'm a stubborn so and so,I preffer to keep PCLOS grub intact.

Anyone shed any light on this problem.
