17.3 install on an acer aspire e15 - SOLVED

i changed the bios boot menu to usb and cdrom, it recognizes either of the boot drives and shows the mint boot menu, when i kick off the boot the system hangs with a dead black screen ... ?

Try using nomodeset option.

SOLVED - acer aspire e5 just needed to have the latest bios installed = v1.31
