Frankly your best bet is to install a (legal?) copy of windows under Virtualbox, and install it in that.
Wine is good for fairly simple programs, but graphics stuff needs more.
I run a 3D cad and 2D drawing package like that under a very old XP license

You'd think that, but both Dreamweaver 8 and Paint Shop Pro 8 run fine on Wine on my 32-bits Mint 17.3.leo.smith wrote:Wine is good for fairly simple programs, but graphics stuff needs more.

most Adobe products run rather badly under ./wine.
they were written for the M$ system, & ./wine can't supply some of it's hardware requirements.

Re: How do I run Dreamweaver CC or CS6 on Linux
I've simply installed Wine, then opened the .exe file to install my version of Dreamweaver. Those were all the steps I needed to take. But my case is not your case.
What have you tried so far and what happened?

No thanks, I don't like watching videos.
Have you tried the workaround listed on the WineHQ page for the CS6 version?

I don't like videos either. Seems everytime I Google something these days, a video pops up.M0em wrote:No thanks, I don't like watching videos.

There are some really good answers at the top of this thread. 1. Use Windows in a virtual box. 2. Use LM 32 bit, which is really easy to do. 3. Check the WineHQ forum, which is lively and active, by the way, and filled with experienced winos.
I had issues running Age of Mythology in Wine, but got it working after some tweaking, upgrading and removal of copy protection. It froze every so often, but that's what automatic backups are for. The thing is that Wine isn't supposed to work. You're cheating Microsoft, in a way. You're stealing their lunch by using an emulator, Wine. So any results you get at all are like a gift. I'd just run LM 32 bit and go from there. If it works, that's really fantastic, and hat's off to Wine's devs for reverse engineering.
Re: How do I run Dreamweaver CC or CS6 on Linux
I worked at installing CS6 for over a week. I give up Even if you get it to run you will find some of the shortcut keys won't function. I found the free legal copy of windows 7 is the best option
