Suspend problems (as always) solved

Post by cespinal »

Hello to all!!!, first post here:

I have been an user of ubuntu for the last 6 months. Upgrading to Intrepid Ibex totally wrecked my pc so I took the chance to try Mint 5 (and who wouldnt???)

So far I totally love it. Everything went less painless that it did with ubuntu, and the look and feel are just better. Added a cairo dock and Im rolling.

Now, Suspend (again) a pain in the neck. The computer does suspend, but sometime's it wakes up on a white screen, some other times on a black-back lit one, and other times it does just fine. Any hints on how this is being worked out on Mint?

I own a HP Dv9000 with a Nvidia geforce go 7150.
Thanks in advance!

Linus Torvalds claims he has solved the resume problem

So in a never kernel it is hopefully fixed
I actually have too few reports about this to say anything for sure.
Tell us exactly which Mint and exactly which hardware - run lspci in a terminal and post - and we might find something out
