Clem just released the upgrade tool:
http://www.linuxmint.com/blog/?p=481

You could just upgrade to Mint 6 with that

Run this in a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install mintupgrader-elyssa-main
Then go to Menu>administration>Upgrade to Mint 6

Just edit your /etc/apt/sources.list and enable the elyssa romeo repo, start up Synaptic and refresh and you will be able to update mintInstall.

Open a terminal and type:

Code: Select all

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
Find this section:

Code: Select all

## +++ Romeo (unstable) +++
# deb http://packages.linuxmint.com felicia romeo
And uncomment it (delete the #):

Code: Select all

## +++ Romeo (unstable) +++
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com felicia romeo
Then just run "sudo apt-get update" and you have romeo enabled.
