New User From Glamorous Rochdale
Good afternoon Ladies and Gents...
I'm a new user...not new to Linux but by no means an expert.
I've been in IT for 34 years working on George 3 operating systems on ICL hardware. I've used command line systems since the start using DOS Novell Netware...early windows which was a dos base with a windows bolt on front end. Plenty of Hardware experience throwing systems together.
Hope to be able to contribute...though i have to admit my unix skills are very much at the lower end of the scale
Regards
Dave

Welcome Dave.
I looked for Glamorous Rochdale on the web without success. I did find Rochdale, UK. Perhaps the wikipedia people need to update that entry

Welcome aboard, androids! I had to Google to see what the George 3 operating system was. That also told me a little something about ICL. And, one of the first pages Google found was this one, telling how to run George 3 on a Raspberry Pi. Just in case you miss George.

Hello, Dave, and congratulations on landing in this glorious green field of Mint!
I think you'll enjoy using the Linux command line. It's sensible, and if a formerly computer-illiterate person like myself could learn it and actually use it day-to-day, then I think that shows it's actually built for normal human consumpiton.
