Hi, Still a Linux Newbie, bear with me....
LM 18 Cinnamon 64 Bit
fresh install, having previously been using 17.1. Downloaded Chromium... and added one ad blocker extension, Ad Stop, IIRC. Now I'm getting two pinned tabs advertising Web Defender Chrome Extension every time I open Chromium... and I can't make them stay away! This is getting old in a hurry. Uninstalled and installed, same thing. Set up an account for the spouse, it's not doing it on hers. Only mine. What am I missing? There somewhere I can stop getting those two tabs? This will make the difference between using Chromium, and not using it- and I really like Chromium. But I'm not putting up with this.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Never heard of Ad Stop. I think most people use AdBlock Plus or uBlock. (I use AdBlock Plus, and it works well.)

Yeah I switched to Adblock, thanks. I'm not getting the tabs now, I don't know what it was about. Ah well.
