Tutorial/Guidelines on how to use GITHUB

Post by NChewie »

Every new release, I feel the need to ask for a certain request to change nemo
[add the ability to display and sort on "Date Modified" column in search results by default] and I have tried raising this in various fora...
several years ago, I was directed to do it on github and did that.

However, I found github very un-user-friendly. It was not clear... where to log the feature request and how to track it.
Could someone from the development side give a clear tutorial on how to suggest changes there, promote other people's changes, etc.?

Is it permitted to bump an earlier request on github, or is that taboo?
