Latest most stable version of KDE on Mint 17.3
Hi i would be interested in installing KDE on 17.3. I was just wondering whats a good stable version of it. idk about using 5.6 because idk how stable is it. I dont really care about having the latest software but it would be nice for it to be atleast in the 4 versions

AFAIK, 17.3 is based on Ubuntu Trusty LTS, so you would be on by default and limited to Plasma/KDE 4.

So if I use the Kubuntu ppa backport I should get a KDE 4 version? BTW I would like to install the standard version. Not the minimal or full version. So would I have to specify that in the terminal command? What wouldacheronuk wrote:AFAIK, 17.3 is based on Ubuntu Trusty LTS, so you would be on by default and limited to Plasma/KDE 4.
Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
