Cinnamon crashes with segfault [Solved]

Cinnamon 3.4.4 LM18.2.. up do date.
cinnamon crashes every 1 or 2 days in mate fallback.

on 5 mashines inhouse, and now 15 customer feedbacks
different hardware.

you can check the sylog after a. crash about that.

Did you upgrade from Mint 17.x? If yes it can give problems , it should be a fresh install from 18.2 iso file.
Also check integrity of the iso file https://linuxmint.com/verify.php

both update from 18.1 and fresh 18.2.. Cinnamon.
not relevant, crash on some systems with different hardware...
different grafic, differnt ram, different cpu... and so on.

What I'd do is not install Mozilla-based javascript https://packages.debian.org/buster/libcjs-dev

and the second system download Lenovo or Motorola drivers for your phone or not connect it to you system.
I have a Lenovo phone myself and had no problems with it and Cinnamon. You might post that second outputt to https://forum.xda-developers.com for advice.

Edit: Your having the same problem in two separate systems if on the same computer could be the cause, if elsewhere...power?

I experienced recently "segfault" on a laptop and cause was one RAM module faulty ( Apacer brand ).
Try a full memory test on boot just to be sure.

Did you install Mint to those machines from the same image?

no.. lm image from lm server and also a german version.

some systems update from 18.1, some new install 18.2.
at the moment 18 feedbacks from round about 40 18.2 systems (include my 3 inhouse systems.) 2 update 1 new.
