I said it on the Facebook page, and I'll say it also here:
Releases like these make me feel that I'm getting my Christmas present early.

I've had the beta running flawlessly since it's release. Updated over the weekend got me to the full release. Loving it!

I haven't got it either, and I'm using the default Mirrors. I'm gonna wait a week, and then I'll do it the old fashion way.Nesbit wrote:Not yet in my update manager
Re: Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” Cinnamon released!
It appears that a change to mintupdate causes the notification to show updates available when they are selected as visible only by level. I think previously the level had to be set as selected for the icon to show updates available. Other than that, everything works so far as it did in LM18.2
Re: Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” Cinnamon released!
I had to manually chose to update from the Edit drop down menu in the Update Manager. There was an option to "Update to Sylvia". Worked a charm on two systems.

A big thank you, excellent work. I have never had such a stable Linux distro at Mint.

That's exactly how it should go and how Clem announced that it would go. Nice and easy, isn't it.Teksonik wrote:I had to manually chose to update from the Edit drop down menu in the Update Manager. There was an option to "Update to Sylvia".

Re: Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” Cinnamon released!
Well, that's the way to upgrade as usual. And the upgrade is available only if we apply the mint-upgrade-info update. For me this update was available only after 10 PM Europe time (a few hours after I posted the above message). Now I'm upgrading on all my 3 machines...Teksonik wrote:I had to manually chose to update from the Edit drop down menu in the Update Manager. There was an option to "Update to Sylvia". Re: Linux Mint 18.3 “Sylvia” Cinnamon released!
I'm still on 18.1 and Update Manager allows me to upgrade directly to 18.3. Can I really?
