Where do I set Cinnamon to reload previously open windows on restart?

Post by wutsinterweb »

I am new to Cinnamon and can't seem to find how to setup system restart to come back up with my running tasks/windows before the shutdown.

I've been using Mint for over 4 years, but I'm still a slow learner. I have a website: https://pickfetish.com. It is dedicated to guitar/instrument picks.

This feature does not exist. Some years ago this was doable, but it never worked flawlessly, so it got removed.

I miss that feature, too!

I can comprehend why it doesn't happen, restarting from close down state can bring problems if the close down had a problem, so the code would need to take that into consideration.

I wonder how hard it would be to do this with a shutdown script and a startup script?

I wonder also, but I haven't gotten to studying scripts yet.
