Post by jronpaul »

Dec 5 13:03:08 codyjfv-Aspire-ES1-572 kernel: [72664.094341] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 9:-1:0x00000000, reason: Kicking stuck wait on blitter ring, action: continue

i found a similer thread here and it looks like i can try
apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-intel

I've had that a couple of times. I'm not 100% sure that was it but I closed one of the tabs on the bottom of the screen or was it a Firefox tab? You can try a "ctl alt F2" and log into the terminal (user name passwd" then "sudo shutdown -r now" to reboot unless it is really dead. I think my machine was stuck with the network hung. Regards Ian.

yes.. when this happened it was dead in the water..
nothing would respond.. the screen was just stuck on whatever screensaver it was on at the time.
since i changed it to use the Pictures DIR its been fine..
