How can I re-enable touchpad?

Post by Cue_Ball » Tue Jan 16, 2018 8:42 pm

I am running Linux Mint 18.3 MATE.

I have very foolishly locked my touchpad by unchecking a box in the Mouse Preferences. This means I now have no access to my mouse.

Does anyone know how I can re-enable my touchpad, perhaps via the Terminal.

Thank you.

Say more regarding your Mint edition and desktop choice.
Ctrl+Alt+t to open a terminal and input:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
copy/paste those results back here in a reply.
You can navigate the mouse properties by typing 'mouse' in the menu search field.
Use the up,down, right, left arrow buttons to re-enable touchpad.
