Re: Question about WINE
Hello, Raven.
Wine is available through Software Manager.
In the Software Manager home screen, type "wine" (without the double quotes) into the little edit box in the upper right hand corner and click on the looking glass icon.
Wine should be listed as the very first item in the result list.
Select it and install it.
Once it has been installed there will be a new category in the Mint Application menu named Wine.
Regards,
Karl

Re: Question about WINE
You may also want to look at Playonlinux it's also in the repository and is a gui front end for wine that makes installing program a bit easier. It also has the ability to install other versions of wine up to the most current 3.0. Which can be helpful for some programs.

Re: Question about WINE
I second the motion on PlayOnLinux. Some programs run on one Wine version but not others, and POL will allow you to have multiple versions installed at the same time.

Re: Question about WINE
I agree on PLayOnLinux. It's a Wine GUI, and all it really does that's special is juggle different Wine versions. But that can make a difference.
DOn't expect miracles though. Wine isn't that reliable. Search "linux wine <app name>" to find the entry in the Wine app database first, and anything with less than a Gold rating is going to be crap.
