language mixture

Post by alfa71omega »

Goodmorning,
I'm running the latest 18.3 Mate and I noticed that the language is not consistent: system is running basically in Italian (even if there is some manu or command in english) but most of the programm runs in english. When under Connamon all the systems and programs work in the correct language. Any suggestion?

Check in the language settings -> add / remove languages, if there are incomplete languages. Install theme completely.

Thanks for prompt replay but I'm still in trouble. Regional settings are ok. I downloaded Evolution and it is set to english... I tried Thunderbird and Kcalendar and both are "mixed" half menus in english and half in italian.

Regarding Thunderbird (I cannot comment to the other 2):
Close TB.
Open synaptic and select the package thunderbird-locale-it (assumed, you want to run in in Italian language); select the command to reinstall.
