How to install this software <SOLVED>

Lately i downloaded Instagram Desktop, and i didn't knew how to install it, it doesn't have install file, hope you guys can help me to install it using linux's terminal.

Looks like you'll have to compile whatever that is, which I assume is from GitHub. I don't recommend it. Compiling is a messy, often either unnecessary or unwise method of installing programs. Have you looked for an alternative? There's usually compilation instructions where you got the files from. Check the GitHub page's README.md file or the one in that directory; that's sorta what it's there for, or at least it should be. If it says it doesn't support Ubuntu 16.04, 16.04.1, 16.04.2, or 16.04.3, then definitely leave it alone, for risk of making a right mess.

Software is best installed from whichever Software Manager you have (which in your case is probably Mint's own mintinstall, AKA: Software Manager) or using your package manager, which in this case is APT (apt-get, aptitude, apt, etc). Installing DEB files (.deb) found online, if the source is trusted, is also fine, although generally not the preferred method.

no need to build that app.. Go here: https://github.com/terkelg/ramme/releases Scroll down the list and download the .deb file. There are two of them
one for 64 bit x86_64 and one for 32 bit I386 down load the appropiate one for your machine. Then simply right click on the downloaded file and select install with gdebi.

or there is also an appimage which will run without being installed. by the way instagrame is called ramme on linux. but works pretty much the same.

I used the .deb package and it install fine. can message same as instagram. good luck.

Thank you very much kc1id and termy for your help, i managed to find this site: http://igdm.me/ from where i downloaded IGdm-2.3.1-x86_64.AppImage and it works normal.
Note:
Desktop IG:dm is only for messgaes but Ramme is for browsing and posting in instagram
