Driver Manager

Post by jimbobs »

When I run Driver Manager, I am a bit confused by the resulting window. Is it telling me what drivers are available or recommending drivers? Is the one checked the one in use?

Specifically, it's showing 3 Broadcom drivers for my wi-fi card. The recommended one causes the wi-fi not to work while one of the others does work.

I figured that out the hard way but still wondering about the "message" Driver Manager gives the user.

The message that should work best for *most* users. Not for all....

Of course, if a newbie went to your page https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... ia-support and read section 1.3 and, more specifically, 1.3.1, they would know what to do :) Just using Device Manager itself was confusing without your explanation.
