Fun thread. I like a wide range of music which has developed over the years. Metal (eg Metallica, Soulfly, Biohazard), Grunge (eg Soundgarden, Nirvana), Folksy (Peatbog Fearies, The Unthanks), Classical (Dvorak) even some middle of the road stuff like Jack Blacks various bands.

Since Dolores past away recently though, I'd like to nominate "The Cranberries" for today:

Since Dennis Edwards died this past weekend, I like to play one of the songs from The Temptations. In the song below, he was the lead singer.

Most of what I like falls into rock and metal sub genres, but there's a lot there I like. In particular I've always liked slower, dirtier styles like Sludge, Grunge, Stoner, Doom etc and recent years have seen me really get into metal with a female/male vocalist clash of some kind, particularly if one has a more melodic sound and the other more of a deeper/gutteral/something else that clashes well one. Deadlock's Dead City Sleepers can give you an idea.

What is rap? Rap is music when bad people feeling good.
Well, what is blues? Blues is music when good people feeling bad :)

+1 Wild Heart is a great album.

Anyone in the know who gets this cryptic clue "Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen" will work out my old 'internet handle' ( retired ) then work out my type of music ;).... with that being said I'm listening to these two at the moment. JD optional.

"There are simply two kinds of music, good music and the other kind." - Duke Ellington

I like the good kind.

Awesome stuff, man.
Reminds me a lot of Janis Joplin, emotionally-wise.
