[Solved] MST support (Two monitors on a single DisplayPort cable)

Hi all,

I'm trying to use both my Dell U2515H with a single DisplayPort cable (using MST aka. Multi Stream Transport). The setup works just fine in Windows 10 (I'm not happy to say that!) with MST support.

I'm on a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and a tried a lot of things with the NVIDIA X Server Settings, and the build in options in Linux Mint, but everytime a change thing, it's just a question about which of the monitors will show up.
DP-0.8 is my left monitor (first, and primary)
DP-1.0 is my right monitor (secound)

The "Mirror" option in "Display" doesn't do anything - Only one of the displays shows up with the desktop. The other one just enter standby-mode.

I saw that a few asked other persons to run udevadm monitor, but when i remove my DP cable and plug it back in, only the USB-interface pops up.

After trying some other search terms, i managed to get both monitors working, after reading this post on StackExchange's Ubuntu-section, totymedli also linking to this post about monitors stuck in sleep mode.

I just used this command: xset dpms force off, and moved my mouse a bit.

I'm still open for discussion, but i'm not sure if that makes any sense here. Take a look at the links! :-)
