USB Wifi dropped intermittently

Post by roticanaitelur »

Hi,
I've upgraded to Linux Mint 18.3 today from 17.3. I did fresh install and everything is working fine except my USB wifi keeps dropping intermittently and I have to re-seat the USB wifi dongle each time.
This USB wifi dongle was working fine on 17.3 and I have tried several different USB ports and it is still the same. Could someone please help me?

Re: USB Wifi dropped intermittently

Post by kc1di »

Give us the output of

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
thanks.

The most likely problem may be the kernel You may have to upgrade or down grade the kernel to get it working.
so give us the output of

Code: Select all

uname -r
also.

Hi,
It's the Linksys AE1000 USB causing this issue. I have connected another PCI-e wireless card today and it has been working so far. However, it would be good if this issue can be rectified. Thanks.
