ASUS FX503VD cannot control keyboard backlight

I bought Asus FX503VD and installed Mint 18.1. Everything work great, except touchpad and keyboard backlight. I can't turn the backlight off.

I've read another posts and they all refer to

/sys/class/leds/asus::kbd_backlight/brightness

I can't find this file at all. I've tried loading asus wmi modules

modprobe asus_nb_wmi
modprobe asus-wmi
modprobe asus-nb-wmi

but asus::kbd_backlight is still not there. What should I do to turn the backlight off? Thank you.
