Re: What is my real CPU speed?
What does this terminal command give you as output ?
My guess? Power Saving feature drops your cpu power when it is not required.

...exactly what richyrich said...you could also check via
cpufreq-info
...Re: What is my real CPU speed?
This output shows the speed each core is running at that moment. Most CPUs run at variable speeds for saving energy and to keep itself cooler.LLS wrote: ⤴Thu May 31, 2018 9:49 am Thanks
Output =Code: Select all
CPU: Quad core AMD E2-7110 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics (-MCP-) cache: 8192 KB flags: (lm nx sse sse2 sse3 sse4_1 sse4_2 sse4a ssse3 svm) bmips: 14373 clock speeds: max: 1800 MHz 1: 1200 MHz 2: 1000 MHz 3: 1800 MHz 4: 1000 MHz
My CPU is rated 2.5 GHz, but that is it's maximum rate. If all cores ran at max all the time, my CPU would have burned out long ago.
